31 Days of…

During the month of October, I’ll be participating with many other bloggers in a ’31 Days’ series.  My first introduction to this was by the Nester, this summer.  She mentioned that she and 8 other bloggers would be hosting this series and invited other bloggers to join in.  Since reading that post I’ve tossed around several different ideas for a 31 day series.  However, there weren’t many things that I felt I could authoritatively write 31 posts about.  So, I decided to devote the month of October to testing recipes in the kitchen that make me think of fall, are inspired by fall, or fit into the fall season.  And, thus, I bring to you:

Photobucket

I’m really excited about this month and sharing with you some incredible (to me) recipes that I’ve found.  The line up sounds good to me, and when I ran it by my husband, he agreed!  What kinds of recipes say ‘fall’?  Things like soup, hearty casseroles, apples, cinnamon, pumpkin, pies, breads, football party foods — yes, look for some great appetizers to take to those football gatherings and tailgating parties–, and maybe a few unexpected fun things.

I can only guarantee two things from this series:  my kitchen is going to smell amazing and I will most likely gain a few pounds.  Your benefit from this is up to you and I hope that you’ll be inspired to make some of these dishes, create ones of your own and savor all of the great fall foods that can come from your kitchen.

Go on over to the nesting place and check out all of the great bloggers who are participating in this month.  When I checked last, there were over 300–ranging from inspirational series to DIY crafts, and much more.  It should be a fun month!

And, while you’re at it, check out the button I (semi) created for this series.  It’s located in my sidebar for you to grab and share with the world, or at least with others who you think might enjoy 🙂

There you have it, my introduction to 31 Days of Fall from the Kitchen.
