Celebration Week :: Giveaway Day 1

*My apologies for any difficulty viewing on a mobile device!  We are aware of the issue and working on it!  Thanks for your patience *

We are celebrating BIG this week at Life with Truth!  This little space has been a long time in coming, something I’ve prayed about and considered for over a year, and now that my new blog has been launched, I wanted to take a few days to celebrate.

What better way to celebrate than by giving you an opportunity to win some great gifts!  I’ve hand selected these giveaways to represent a little bit of who I am and what this blog is about.  There will be a new giveaway each day this week, so be sure to come back and enter for a chance to win every day!

Merry Christmas!

Giveaway One:  Coffee Mug and Journal

My favorite time of day is the early morning, before my children wake up and the busyness of the day floods my mind.  I grab my coffee (with lots of cream and sugar), switch on my lamp, and sit down in my chair to write, pray, and clear my mind.  I’ve been keeping a journal since I was about 16, and when I was a sophomore in college, I added a cup of coffee to my routine.  I love going back and looking in my journals and remembering where the Lord has taken me.  I write about joys, challenges, daily happenings, dreams, prayers.  Once I clear my mind of thoughts, I also use my journal to record what I read in the Bible that day.  Sometimes I write out entire passages, sometimes just a verse or two, and then I document whatever it is that I learned from the reading that day.

Because this is my favorite time of day, I thought it only appropriate to give away a mug and journal to two of you!

All by grace coffee mug

Chalkboad side of mug

I love the message on these mugs, and there is even a little chalkboard spot on one side for a verse, quote, picture of a wintry scene (I’m living in Florida, so this is as snowy as it’s getting right now) or whatever you want!  They’re fun mugs and a great reminder of God’s grace.  (You can purchase one from Dayspring, if you don’t end up winning the giveaway!)

Use the Rafflecopter form below to enter.  Giveaway will close next Monday.

Hi Lauren, nice to see your new blog site!! Cute mug for the raffle, only sad that my address is not in the US :(, but I do understand why you need to have it that way 🙂

My Favorite time of day is when we pray with the children before they go to bed. This is when some of them open up and share with us, and I long to know their hearts.

How special! I think this will happen as our kids get older, too. Some nights the girls just want to keep talking (mostly to stall bedtime), but we also have great discussions then. I pray that they will always want to open up to us.

I usually like mid-afternoon, when I’m feeling most awake! But these days that’s when I’m feeling most tired – ha! so my favorite part of the day lately is bedtime!

I love the new blog! I was a reader of Only From Scratch and am excited to follow along in this new space. 🙂

Lauren, I’m SO excited about your new blog! and that mug is super cute 🙂 my favorite time of day is in the morning when the whole day stretches out before you

I’m like you. My favorite time of day is early in the morning before anyone else is up. I really like the quiet time to get my day started right.

Favorite time of day: Funny, because these are ironic. I love when the girls first wake up and then I also love when they just go to bed (and I can celebrate the day and the fact that I can chill!) Love the new blog, Lauren. And love this giveaway!

I am really loving mornings lately. Almost as soon as my (or Matt’s) alarm goes off, I’m ready to get out of bed and go downstairs. I plug in the Christmas lights on the staircase, then plug in the Christmas tree, then get my coffee, then settle down in my new chair in the dark of the morning to read my Advent book and journal. I love it!

Lauren, I am so excited for you and this new blog…and already love it! 🙂 Yes, the morning time before the sweet munchkins arise is precious! I look forward to that part of day too…where I can snuggle up on the couch with my coffee, journal, and Bible…and meet the Lord in that quiet space.
