Day 30:: We are pilgrims together

My daughters,

The lessons I’ve shared with you are just a drop in the bucket compared to the number of things that I want you to know.  Life is full of joys and sorrows, and nothing I can say could ever fully prepare you for the road that lies ahead.

But I can offer you Jesus.  The One who has gone before us, making a way for us to have peace with God and to live an abundant life in Christ.

As challenging as this life might be, it is not the end.

We are pressing forward to an eternity with Jesus, the One who will always be enough.

So, I will teach and train you.  I will strive to give you the tools necessary to live your life well.

But I also promise to journey with you.

We are pilgrims together.

My heart is prone to wander, just like yours, and so I will guard my heart as I pray for you to guard yours.

I will continue to make God’s Word my delight.

I will seek to love, think of others first and give unconditionally.

I will remember who I am.

I will be teachable.

I will rest in Jesus.

I will press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

And, Lord willing, we will grow together in our knowledge of the Lord, live a life that is pleasing to Him, and shine the love of Jesus to the world that they might see Him.

Let’s walk this life together and seek to bring glory to the One who alone deserves all the praise.

And let’s look forward to heaven, the completion of our pilgrim journey, where we will be forever with Jesus.

Love,

Mommy
