The Beginning of 2015

Happy New Year!

It’s been a whirlwind of Christmas celebrations, moving, house-hunting and birthdays around here!  The kids and I are currently living with my parents, Bradley just left Florida with our moving van, and this weekend we’ll start our hotel living once again while we do a bit more house hunting in Virginia Beach.  I told my mom just this morning that I don’t mind change, but it’s the transition in the midst of change that is most challenging .  Each day that goes by means another month (at least) before we’re settled in our own place.  And somehow in the midst of all this  I’m supposed to become a teacher and do the homeschool thing.  I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around that thought!  I opened up the teacher manual for Isabella’s curriculum the other day and closed it after about 5 minutes of confusion.  We’ll probably still be finishing Kindergarten when it’s time for First Grade to begin.

The busyness and living in the midst of transition have left me with little time to sit and write as I had wanted.  I have several blog posts swirling around in my head, and I look forward to the day when I can flesh out what’s on my mind and heart.  Instead of typing out a jumbled mix of beginning-of-the-year-thoughts, (you should thank me, because they are truly incoherent at best) here are some black and white snippets from our Christmas/New Year/birthdays/life in transition…

Your family is beautiful and hi to your in laws! I hope you love Virginia Beach. Again, let me know if you have any questions or need anything! We loved the church we went to when we lived in VB and know many many people there who would help if you need anything.
